There is one issue with Samsung Pay and linking it to Home Depot® purchases, but we at HammerZen can help you get around it!
All throughout history, technology has been constantly transforming and adapting to the times–and it’s no different now. Methods of payment have transitioned from bartering and trading to cash and card-swiping. Nowadays, society is evolving in order to store everything in one place: our cell phones.
In recent years, technology has arisen that allows people to pay effortlessly with no more than their phones. More and more stores have been innovating in order to allow this; the store checkouts, more specifically, have now become compatible with Samsung Pay.
The Home Depot does not sponsor or endorse this product and is not in any way affiliated with HammerZen, Inc. THE HOME DEPOT®, PRO XTRA®, and TEXT2CONFIRM® are a registered trademarks of Home Depot Product Authority, LLC.
What does this mean for our beloved Pro Xtra® shoppers? Well, while convenient, Samsung Pay makes using tracking your purchases a bit more difficult–at a glance, that is. When you use Samsung Pay at the checkout terminals, your purchase data does not import automatically into your account. Don’t worry, though, because there is a simple way around this.
All you need to do is ensure that you have a phone number linked to your member account. When you log into your loyalty account, you will be taken to the homepage or your Workbench. From here, you should go to the Credit Cards & Accounts tab.
Once you go to the Credit Cards & Accounts tab, there are six different sections in which you can input information. Go to the fourth section labeled Phone Numbers.
There, you can simply click Add Phone Number and enter any number you wish to be associated with your account. It’s as easy as that!
On a side note, when you are affiliated with an association such as the National Apartment Association, Builders and Contractors Association, or the National Real Estate Investor Association, click on the Agreement Code checkbox and add the code to receive additional discounts, rebates and volume pricing. Then just click on Submit.
What is an Agreement Code? Take a look at the picture below!
What’s the point of all of this, though? Well, when you use Samsung Pay at a checkout terminal, your purchase data won’t automatically upload into your account-unless you provide your phone number to the cashier. When the cashier inputs the phone number associated with your account, all of your purchase information will update in your rewards account!
In the era of modern technology, you need to stay on your toes and keep up with the latest innovative trends–and know how to work with them. Link your phone number with your account so you can stay up-to-date on technology by fearlessly using Samsung Pay while still managing your company’s purchases through your loyalty member account.
