When you need to begin a large project but are reluctant to immediately dump your wallet to fund it, a credit card is the solution you typically need! Applying for credit cards can be frightening, but the benefits of using them outweigh any fears of potential (and irrational) disaster. Four different cards are offered by Home Depot® to suit different consumers’ needs so that you can decide which plan is right for you!

Consumer Credit Card
The first card, the Consumer Credit Card, is targeted towards average consumers rather than businesses who purchase supplies from the Home Depot®. The line of credit and APR depend on your credit score. With the Consumer Credit Card, you also receive a variety of different offers including discounts and special financing.

Project Loan Card
This card was designed for both general consumers and businesses purchasing supplies from the Home Depot®. Using the Project Loan Card is ideal for larger projects. It offers a fixed APR and a credit line up to tens of thousands of dollars. The best thing about this card is that they charge no annual fees and there is no prepayment penalty!

With the Consumer Credit Card and Project Loan Card, you do not automatically receive details of purchase, including job name, SKU number, and saved receipts. There is a way to access this information even when you use one of the two aforementioned cards.

Commercial Revolving Charge Card
If you run a business and you wish to distribute cards to each of your employees, you should use the Commercial Revolving Charge Card. When your employees are given cards, they are able to make purchases on your account. Also, there is more payment flexibility than any of the other cards; you can make small monthly payments or pay in full every month.

Commercial Account
This card is similar to the Revolving Charge Card. While you can still allow authorized users to purchase on your behalf, you receive more detailed information about the purchases and have greater control over employees’ spending. In addition, you have to pay in full every month (with the option to pay by invoice) so you can optimize your cash flow.

Both the Commercial Account and the Revolving Charge Card have offers for discounts on fuel and automatically grant access to Home Depot’s Pro Xtra® loyalty program, a program that helps you save money and offers a variety of benefits.
